Aircapture launch wireless forensics training
Wireless networks and technologies have now become commonplace for the average consumer, making them a new supply of potential evidence. During this course, we will discuss a variety of different wireless technologies and their available forensic fingerprint. The instructor will demonstrate a variety of tools and methods. The students will learn how to capture and decrypt wireless data using Aircapture Wlan 14. This training is recommended for anyone purchasing products from Aircapture AB or in the process of looking inte wireless forensics, The training an can be provided at customer site, max attendees 10 persons/class.
5 day training consists of;
Day 1: Wireless technology overview
Day 2: Detecting wireless traffic, dealing with encryption
Day 3: Wireless Hacking
During this session, the students will learn the basic skills used to hack into wireless networks.
Day 4: Cases
During this session, the students will use the WLAN14 and apply the skills taught in the previous sessions to conduct investigations. These cases will be scenario based where half the class will act suspects and the other half investigators.
Day 5: Cases

WLAN 14+, 1 FPGA is really small and fits into the 3u Wlan 14 chassis. Still it is around 1000 times faster than a dual core Pc. Stand alone cluster FPGA versions are also available. Performance doubles for each fpga added.

April 2008 – AirCapture release WFA, Wireless Forensics Analyzer.
Win based software that simplifies wireless forensics is now available from the leading wifi interception company. The lack of sophisticated and easy to use decoders in the wifi market lead us into developing our own WFA tool standalone decoder. Since shipping our first 14 channels capture units in 2006, Encryption buster in fpga for decoding wep and wpa in 2007 we have now added WFA, which not only will simplify http, chat and email reconstruction but also add layer 2 forensics expert functionalities for hacking attacks such as evil twins.

The decoder blends in really nicely with our AirCapture Wlan 14 capture engine but can also be purchased standalone for those that import pcap files from for example wireshark either with or without layer 2 ( mac+wlan layer ).

June 2007 – Encryption Buster software on FPGA released! Hardware cracking gives the customer a brand new method of cracking wep and wpa. The great benefits with using brute force is it can be completely stealth. No need to use active hackling methods that may trigger IDS and reveal operation, No wait long time to collect IV anymore and therefore resort to active methods, we need much less packets! Testing reveals we can crack WPA 1000 times faster than with a high end dual core PC. – Scalability, we can add more processors ( fpga´s ) to speed up processing if customers need. Our Wlan 14+ solution includes the one card FPGA solution integrated with Encryption Buster all in one stealth chassis. Encryption buster
can be purchased as a separate cluster with many FPGA. We can build up to 210 fpga monster
versions to speed up decryption process. Current speed is 75000 pass/phrase WPA per second per fpga.

June 2007 – Optional Realtime streamer available. This feature in Aircapture Wlan 14 allows captured data to be resend out on a separate ethernet port after captured by our Radios in Wlan 14 chassis. The feature saves time as no manual conversion of pcap files needed and officer can directly and automated look at decoded applications in near realtime with any forensics analyzer that understands etherent packets ( typically run in officers notebook in field ).

March 2007 –Encryption Buster software, wep, wpa integrated with Wlan 14 capture engine.
Existing customers get as free upgrade if under support, for new customers included in price
of Wlan 14 chassis.

March 2007 –XML support available for demanding customers who wants to automate Wlan 14 capture engine.

March 2007 –PCAP files produced by Wlan 14 capture engine can now be converted to strip of Wlan information which allows any forensics analyzer to import  readable data.
